why can't parents realise the umbilical cord was cut years ago?

Parents. At what point do they take the training wheels off? It's like no matter where you are in life, your Mum or Dad is always running behind you, arms stretched out panicking over every wobbly move and shake you make. So i'm not the carbon copy you might have intended. But that's ok. Take the pressure off Mum and Dad. Off me. And off you. You got me here, now I'll do the rest. Falls and scrapes. Disappointments and mistakes. They're all mine. So let me stack it every now and then. The only mistake in life is not making any. So let it go. Hands off the seat.

LOOK MA, NO UMBILICAL CORD!!!!

1 year gap for all the life experience of parents. Like it or not, they are, in fact have had more experience in life.

parentals need to learn from birds. push us out of the nest, see if we fly. if we crash, pick us up and push us out again. when our wings start flapping then let us fly on our own.

great blog zero man

In general, we become adults about two years before our parents think we are, and about three years after we think we are.
