why not take a sick of work day?
we get sick days, but why not sick of work days?
this is the thought that inspired this whole journey for me. it's been a few months since i took a sick of the cubicle day and since then i feel like my eyes have been opened. i'm through the looking glass. every few weeks i've taken and afternoon off at random with no plan or thought of what to do. I'll let opportunity knock and then grab it and kidnap for a whirlwind adventure. i've seen more movies than i otherwise would have, i've read more books, caught up with friends, listened to more music, played my guitar more and just basically lived more.
i'm organizing with my friends for all of us to take a sick of work day and just hang out and do something stupidly fun. just see what the day presents and go for it. my mates Richard, Jordy, Andre and Dan are in, and they are trying to get a few of their mates to get in on it too.

I think everyone takes sick of work days, some are just more open to admit it.
The problem with most sick of work days, is that the work will still be there when you get back, and now you will have to cope with the missed days work.
Maybe short cycle jobs like retail may be able to cope with random days off, although I know that long haul "dedication" jobs, the work will be there waiting for you .. as always.
Doesn't mean you cant take a day off though :)
bring on the sick of work day!!!!! Great site C.
