why can't I ask the gorgeous girl on the bus for a date?
I've spent every weekday morning with her for the last year. as I struggle to wake up each morning and prepare myself for the day ahead, her appearance at the bus stop suddenly makes it all worthwhile. so why can't I ask her out? what's the worst that could happen? She could say no. i might have to catch a different bus. But she might say yes! i'm a nice guy, she's sure to fall for my knockabout charm. she could be my future wife. it's decided - Monday morning I'm shaking off the limits of my fear and taking the plunge.

Go ahead man, go for it. Do it for all the guys out there who are way too chicken to do anything about it.
I agree with Salstar, go for it. You have nothing to lose but that awful feeling of regret, "what if..." she gets taken. It's a zero sum game.

we are all intimidated by what we feel is superior in comparison to ourselves. Just remember you can offer her something no one else can, your individual personality which im sure is worth loads more then you give yourself credit for. Ask her out, worst outcome is no, and you'll have gained more confidence to ask someone out on the next date.
